That problem is that in almost every bottle I've received, there have been crushed or fractured capsules, which spilled their oil all over the interior of the bottle, and therefore, on every capsule inside the bottle.

CLA is not a pleasant-smelling oil, and it is persistent in that it takes up to four hand-washings to get it off.

So unless you like the idea of having to go through that every single time you take these, I'd suggest getting a different brand. That's what I'll be doing. The two pictures attached: one is of two sheets of paper towel that the latest bottle was dumped out on and the capsules gently rolled between to try to get the majority of the oil off the outside of the capsules - the superficial oil removed from very gently rolling the capsules can be seen; the other picture is of the cracked open chips of capsules that were found in this - my last - bottle of CLA from NOW.

I found, in my research a common thread that those who didn't exercise or were generally not very active had the most negative reviews. Since this product is meant to increase the body's ability to metabolize and burn fat it actually shrinks the fat cells keeping fat from expanding them it seemed logical that the more active person is the better result they would see.

I was already working out daily; min. of circuit training: cardio with 5 lb. I noticed a definite impact within the first days of using the CLA at the suggested dosage of three times per day with meals. Was I having results prior to using CLA?

Was the CLA benefit enhanced by the increase in cardio? Bottom line: my experience with CLA is that it does work very well with proper diet and exercise; it's not a quick fix but it does work as an enhancement and tool for fat redistribution and muscle toning bringing better definition.

I don't count calories; I simply eat a proper balance of carbs, protein and fat reduced fat foods as often as possible ; I also make a protein shake after working out.
